Returning to Chicago, IL for its second year, The Breaks Vol II boasts an incredible lineup of both classic hip-hop artists and newly emerging emcees, bringing multiple generations of fans together for one memorable show on Saturday, September 8 at Toyota Park (East Lot). With an impressive lineup including a headlining performance from hip-hop icons Wu-Tang Clan-- who are currently celebrating the 25th Anniversary of their acclaimed debut, Enter The 36 Chambers-- The Breaks Vol II has announced the addition of local super group Hurt Everybody (featuring Supabwe, Mulatto Beats, and Qari), along with Tom MacDonald, Smiley Tower, Critical, and Billie Gvtes.
The Breaks Vol II has also announced a second stage which will feature music and performances from emerging acts from Chicagoland locals. The local stage will include performances from: Young Jasper, Boi Jeanius with Mic Terror, Stoney Montana with King Louie, Na$im Williams, Finesse Fest, David Costa, Al Koleon, Cj TheFLii, Musa Reems, and Anto, Halfto, Baz1ll, Sheila & Franke J. solo.
The full main stage lineup is as follows (subject to change): Wu-Tang Clan, Yasiin Bey, Vic Mensa, Talib Kweli, Curren$y, Freddie Gibbs, Twista, Hurt Everybody, King Lil G, Waylon & Willie (Jelly Roll and Struggle Jennings), Token, Alex Wiley, Tom MacDonald, Ready To Live, Taking Hits Constantly, Smiley Tower, Critical, and Billie Gytes.
MTV’s newest stunt show “Too Stupid To Die” will also be onsite, performing their nail-biting stunts on the main stage in between music performances performances, and the event will also feature a DJ tentgraffiti artists, and a variety of other activities throughout the day.
