In her first effort, New Orleans artist Baby Cate delivers a message while also providing something to vibe to. From the politically charged first track “So What” to the last “Up,” this EP is an easy listen with some gems thrown in. Involved one hundred percent in everything down to the artwork for her music, the 20-year-old put the 4-track project together in about one week, but with careful detail. Each song is different, in concept and sound, which really makes Word. great.
