Zaytoven is having on hell of a year and its just getting started. The super producer, who's worked with Gucci, Drake, and The Migos, sat with Billboard to speak about what's next up. Spoiler alert: he' confirms the collaboration with Jay Z.
Last November, Zaytoven hinted to a Jay Z collaboration when the two were spotted in the studio together. While speaking with Billboard about his time in the music industry, which is over a decade, he spoke on how his meeting with Jay Z was set up. "What’s so crazy is I always looked at Jay Z and guys on the caliber of Jay Z like they just the big dogs. I didn’t think they listen to my music or even know who I am." he told Billboard. "I was in L.A. in a meeting with [veteran publishing executive] Big Jon and he was like, 'Me and Jay was just talking about you.' So he text him and [Jay Z] said, 'You have Zaytoven over there? Can he come to the house?' And I’m like, What? For real?"
'Tell him when he come over, make sure he bring them beats with them strings and pianos in it," as requested by Jay Z, so we're sure Zaytoven will step to the plate. While a date hasn't been confirmed for this collaboration, the two are definitely in the works on something for both of their projects. In the meantime, you can hear Zaytoven's crazy keys on The Migos Culture. Read the full interview here.
